Our 9th Annual Taste of the Garden on October 21st was a virtual event filled with inspiration, laughs, and delicious food. We were honored to uplift the voices of our student leaders and see our Instructors bringing life to our programs. Co-hosts Andria Tobin and Mentors, Inc. @ Kid Power protégé, Brooke, guided viewers through the event as guests virtually cooked along with our 5th-grade student chefs from J.O. Wilson Elementary and Executive Chef Kevin Tien

We deepened our knowledge of community health in a community conversation with Dr. Beverley Wheeler, of DC Hunger Solutions, and Ronnie Webb of The Green Scheme. We were also inspired by our 2021 Excellence in Leadership Award recipient Mark Bucher, founder of Feed the Fridge.  (Watch the video here).
