Kid Power partners with seven DC Public School sites where students participate in daily enrichment programming. These programs include a variety of academic instruction and homework help, civic engagement and service-learning, health and wellness, and urban gardening activities. Students must attend one of the following schools to be eligible for enrollment for Kid Power’s In-School and After-School programming.
Middle & High School Programming
We support DC public and charter school students in middle and high school through two powerful programs designed to help youth advance in school, career, and life:
- Community Mentoring Program connects students with one-to-one, community-based mentors who help them set and achieve academic, career, civic, and personal goals.
- PowerUp! is our youth-led enrichment program that gives youth the freedom to explore their interests, lead projects, and build community in a supportive environment.
