Yevette was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and currently resides in Washington, DC. Yevette’s interest in education stemmed early on as a student in Chicago Public Schools and led her to pursue a career in education. A graduate of American University, Yevette earned a B.A. in Public Relations and Strategic Communication and a M.Ed in Education Policy and Leadership. Yevette joined Kid Power in 2020 and has been able to further her passion for social justice and education in her role as Communication and Operations Manager.
