Washington, DC - April 6, 2009 - Mayor Adrian M. Fenty on Monday announced the District has selected E Street Development to build a 500,000 square foot mixed use project in Southwest.  The project includes a new fire station for Engine Co. 13, along with educational space for Kid Power, Inc.

"This is a great example of how we can leverage our under-used District-owned assets to create real value for our residents," Mayor Fenty said.

The project will provide Kid Power with much needed space for its academic, service, and arts activities in Ward 6.

Kid Power is honored to partner with E Street Development to provide a safe and enriching environment for Southwest students.
