As a Board Member of the DC Alliance of Youth Advocates, Kid Power strives to be active in the larger youth policy-making arena.  Kid Power and DCAYA are currently working with the Office of the Chancellor for DC Public Schools to  create a sustainable and effective out-of-school-time (OST) system.  Other issues include adequate funding for community-based organizations, youth employment and homelessness, and universal program standards.
